Swiss Mesh is a community-led effort to improve local, resilient communications across Switzerland. We connect people who care about practical, open, and reliable radio networks, and we share the knowledge needed to build them.

What we build

• A backbone layer with MeshCore for long-range coverage and routing
• A community layer with Meshtastic for local messaging and field use
• License-free options like CB radio for simple, accessible coordination

Why it matters

Resilient communications help when mobile networks are congested or unavailable. They also support local groups that need dependable, short- to mid-range coordination without heavy infrastructure.

How the community works

Swiss Mesh is organized around open documentation and shared experience. We collect practical notes, publish setup guidance, and learn from deployments in different regions and terrain.
