This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit swiss-mesh.ch. It applies to this website only. The community forum at forum.swiss-mesh.ch has its own account system and terms.

Who is responsible

swiss-mesh.ch is a non-commercial community project run by volunteers in Switzerland. For any data-protection request, contact us through the forum as described on the contact page.

Hosting and server logs

The website is a static site hosted on a server in Europe. When you load a page, the web server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, requested page, referrer, browser and operating system. These logs are needed to deliver the site and to defend it against abuse. They are kept only as long as needed for operation and security and are not combined with other data.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) to understand which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address in shortened form, the pages you view, your approximate location (country/region), device and browser information. Data may be transferred to the United States; Google is certified under the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

You can block Google Analytics with the browser add-on from Google, by blocking cookies, or by using a content blocker.

Google AdSense

The site is registered with Google AdSense, Google’s advertising service. Advertising cookies are not set unless ads are actually shown. If advertising is enabled in the future, visitors from Switzerland, the EEA and the UK will be asked for consent through Google’s certified consent dialog before personalised ads are served. External content

Page styles and scripts are loaded from the jsDelivr CDN, which receives your IP address when delivering these files. Links to other websites (Meshtastic, MeshCore, OFCOM, retailers) take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request information about the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the supervisory authority in your country.

We update this policy when the website changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
